Unlike some scorpion species, they tend to be more aggressive and prefer minimal handling. They require a humid, tropical enclosure with a temperature range of 75–85°F and humidity levels around 70–80%, which can be maintained with regular misting. A secure, well-ventilated terrarium with a deep substrate for burrowing, hiding spots, and a shallow water dish is essential. Their diet consists of live insects like crickets, roaches, and mealworms.
