Pacman Frog

Pacman frogs, also known as South American horned frogs, are chubby, round amphibians with big mouths and a voracious appetite. They come in vibrant colors like green, brown, or albino variants and are named after the video game character due to their shape and eating style.

Care Overview:

• Enclosure: A 10–20 gallon tank with a secure lid; these frogs are ground dwellers and don’t need height.

• Substrate: Moist coco fiber or sphagnum moss to retain humidity.

• Temperature: Keep between 75–85°F with a low-output heat source if needed.

• Humidity: 60–80%, maintained with daily misting.

• Diet: Carnivorous—feeds on insects (like crickets and roaches), with occasional pinky mice for adults.

• Water: Use dechlorinated or distilled water; a shallow water dish is essential.

They are solitary and don’t require handling, as they stress easily and may bite. With proper care, they can live 6–10 years.
